Daegu City held the 2022 ABB Strategic Forum at DIP Sun Hall on the 16th in collaboration with the Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Agency (DIP).

The forum, which was held under the theme of artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and blockchain, which are key keywords for the next 50 years in Daegu, was attended by more than 100 local ICT company officials, external experts, and employees of the future ICT bureau in Daegu.

In the first part, Shin Sun-young, head of the AI Future Strategy Center at the Korea Intelligence Agency (NIA), gave a lecture on the government’s artificial intelligence policy and trends, Ryu Ji-woong, head of the AI data planning team at the IITP, explained the ABB R&D policy, and Yoon Ji-seok, head of the ICT New Industry team at the NIPA, introduced examples.

In the second part, Ryu Dong-hyun, head of the AI blockchain division in Daegu, explained the ABB industry development plan and strategy, and Dr. Kim Ik-soon of the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) introduced the Blockchain Governance Case. In addition, it was conducted in the order of discussing ABB issues in the region, directions to move forward, and corporate difficulties through panel discussions with experts and companies (right-leaning information technology, The IMC, Big Wave AI, etc.).

Baek Dong-hyun, director of the Daegu Future ICT Bureau, said, “Based on what was discussed at the forum, we will work closely with the central government to plan and support various projects such as finding large national projects in Daegu.”
